“We are extremely sorry that Bangor will not be part of the league for
2005," remarked league commissioner Miles Wolff when the
announcement was made. "We had many loyal fans in the city and we sincerely regret that the team is leaving. We have had several cities inquire about membership in the league, but because of the lateness of the Lumberjack announcement, the timing made it impossible to make a move this season. We fully expect to have a new member city for 2006 and are extremely excited about our prospects.”
